This afternoon I met with state Rep. Dick Patten. In addition to his many civic roles, Dick hosts the “About Town” show broadcast on WICX 102.7FM and Concord TV. He records the show at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Concord, where he is also a parishioner.
He and I talked about my move from parish life to the NH Council of Churches, changes in American religious life, the difference between interfaith and ecumenical cooperation and some wise words from Peter Maurin and Dorothy Day.
