You are invited to attend a free active shooter preparedness and response training program designed especially for congregations. The First Congregational Church of Wakefield, United Church of Christ, will host a a free training on “Securing Organizations of Faith” on Saturday, April 21, from 9 to 11 a.m. It is open to clergy and lay participants from all faith organizations.

Blue-U Defense (www.blue-u.com) has developed training sessions to provide church leaders and clergy an opportunity to learn how to keep their facilities safe and secure. Their approach is practical, effective and engaging, and will help attendees begin to create an effective plan to manage the possible threat of sudden acts of violence.
