The NH Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NHCADP) invites you to Storm the Capitol on Thursday, April 26! The NH House will engage that day in floor debate on SB593. This bill will replace our current death penalty with life in prison without parole.
This is a move supported by all nine member denominations of the NH Council of Churches. We unanimously approved this statement opposing the death penalty a few years ago.
If you’d like to participate, here’s how:
- 8:00am Sign-making at NH Peace Action (Third floor, 4 Park Street in Concord)
- 8:30am Hold signs and bear witness at the State House while Representatives arrive (107 North Main Street in Concrd)
- 10:00am House session begins and our witness ends. Those with the time may remain in the House Gallery. Rumor has it SB593 will be on the floor before lunch, but that is subject to change.
