Concord Monitor: Effort to save Gilmanton church rooted in sense of community

The Concord Monitor reports on First Baptist Church of Lower Gilmanton and their efforts to preserve their historic church building. They have recently received preservation grants as the preservation needs exceed what their volunteers can do alone. The Church is affiliated with the American Baptist Churches of Vermont and New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance named the church on of their “Seven to Save” and they have a Wikipedia page detailing its founding in 1773 and its role in the Revolutionary War.
