Dec. 5: Burying Poverty

On Monday, December 4, we held a burial service for Poverty. This was a symbolic beginning of the New Poor People’s Campaign initiated by Rev. William Barber of Repairers of the Breach. This national campaign is coming to New Hampshire! The tri-chairs Rev. Jason Wells (NH Council of Churches), Rev. Eric Jackson (Manchester NAACP) and Adol Mashut (youth organizer, GSOP) developed the event and NH clergy Rev. Gail Kinney and Rev. Emilia Halstead offered prayers and song:
