The Training will include a presentation of Substance Use and Addiction, sharing from parents whose children have struggled with Substance Use Disorder, discussion of what makes this kind of funeral just like any other and what makes it unique, and resources so you will know how to refer someone or their family as they confront addiction. This training may be able to be used for continuing education credits.
Caring Clergy have been trained to:
- Honor the person beyond their substance use disorder
- Celebrate the fullness of the person and bring words of hope to a time of darkness
- Help others as they grieve
