On Sunday, October 6, the ACLU-NH awarded their annual Bill of Rights Award to the NH Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty for their work in the successful May 30 repeal vote! The NH Council of Churches was a founding member of the Coalition and we were excited to receive this honor for the faith-filled work that we all brought to the table together. All nine of our member denominations have statements opposing the death penalty for Biblical and theological reasons.
